Vision of Students Today

Friday, November 21st, 2008

As I was searching my email for something this morning, I came a link to this video on YouTube that our director had referenced.  It definitely is worth the 4:44 minutes.  It makes you think about how we approach education and why we should be changing our methods — not that I have the answers as to HOW to change the methods!

Next WALT Meeting Coming Soon

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Our next face to face WALT meeting is Friday, November 14  at the Shoreline Library.

The discussion topic for this meeting is supervisory skills training. What trainings have you offered to supervisors? What skills do supervisors need? Are you able to meet the training needs for your supervisors? If not, what do you need from the training community to meet these needs?

If you’ve done a successful supervisor skills training, this is your chance to share!  If you have never done this type of training and need resources, this is your chance to learn from your colleagues. If you have a training to share, please email Jennifer Fenton, WALT Chair at jfenton@secstate.wa.gov to get on the agenda.

Other topics for the upcoming meeting include officer nominations, upcoming WALT trainings and our next virtual Book Discussion topic.
