Just like controlling clutter on your desk or managing your time better, it is always a good idea to be reminded of controlling the cluster in our email Inbox too.
The Hamster Revolution https://catalog.kcls.org/record=b2111026 is a book recently reviewed in an email newsletter that clutters my inbox – I mean that I get – each week! (I am not including a link to the newsletter as my way of cutting your inbox clutter!)
In the article it mentioned that if you can reduce your email by 20% you will gain back 15 days of productivity!
Here are a few tips that were included in the article:
NRR – No Response Required. If you do not need an answer or for them to acknowledge they have received the message. End with NRR.
Prioritize the message in the subject line:
- P1: Response required within 24 hours.
- P2: Response required within 24 hours.
- P3: Information no response required.
